Catapult
Crash Test Sled to Simulate Vehicle Impacts
At the DEKRA Technology Center in Klettwitz there is a Hyper-G catapult system on which complete car bodies, simulated vehicle environments, as well as components are exposed to the impacts of a collision. With a force of 2,200 kN, speeds of up to 80 km/h or structural masses of up to 3,500 kg can be accelerated. Current front, side and rear impact pulses are simulated pursuant to, for example, Euro NCAP, ECE, and FMVSS, as well as special customer requirements. Our areas of focus include dynamic tests on seats and headrests, interior equipment, as well as vehicle integrations and expansions, such as of ambulances pursuant to DIN EN 1789, but also motorsports tests pursuant to FIA standards (z.B. 8855-1999).
Modern data collection systems and high-speed cameras with associated evaluation tools as well as the hybrid III dummies and the P and Q child dummy families are available for a meaningful assessment of material and component behavior during the tests.
We are pleased that you are interested in our services for passive vehicle safety. We will be happy to put together an individual offer for you. Because safety is of importance to both of us.
