Strategic initiatives

Grow Beyond

The Global mentoring program aims to provide guidance and support the development of employees (mentee) by experienced specialists or managers (mentors) , targeted to employees at all levels of the organization.

DEKRA Language Tandem

DEKRA Language Tandem is a platform that promotes language exchange and intercultural learning between employees. Participants can improve their language skills by teaming up with employees who speak a different language. It is free and open to all employees.

EmpowHER

EmpowHER is a dynamic training program tailored exclusively for the women of DEKRA. This initiative focuses on honing essential skills like leadership and communication, offering coaching, and fostering a supportive community.

It provides the space to thrive in a network of like-minded women, fostering opportunities and valuable connections.The program spans approximately six months and is conducted in small groups, ensuring personalized attention and growth.

Additionally, EmpowHER is available in five languages, catering to the diverse needs of our global workforce.

EmpowHER not only equips DEKRA women for success but also promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, celebrating the unique contributions of women across the organization.

Women‘s network

DEKRA has had an international women's network since 2022. In the DEKRA Women's Network, women exchange ideas, learn about internal programs and development opportunities, and are inspired by experienced female colleagues.

The aim is to make women more visible at all levels of the Group and ensure equal opportunities.
The topics range from work-life balance to career development.

In order to ensure constructive interaction within the Group, common core values apply in the Women's Network. These include positive communication, open exchange and respectful listening, inclusion and freedom from prejudice, active participation and meeting at eye level - regardless of hierarchical levels.

Diversity Day

In May, diversity is celebrated in many places, in line with the European Commission's annual European Diversity Month. DEKRA is joining in and celebrating Diversity Day every year since 2022.

DEKRA signed the "Diversity Charter" committing itself to offering all employees the same opportunities to develop and realize their potential internally – regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin and nationality, physical and mental abilities, religion and worldview, sexual orientation, and social background.

To further support fair and equitable hiring practices, we provide comprehensive training on unconscious bias to our hiring managers and recruiters. This training equips our team members with the tools and knowledge needed to recognize and mitigate their own biases, promoting more inclusive decision-making throughout the hiring process.

Flexible Work Arrangements
