DEKRA Testing and Certification S.A.U. and Telit Cinterion achieve milestone in IoT security compliance

World's largest independent expert organization in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification sector collaborates with leading IoT solutions provider to meet RED cybersecurity requirements.

DEKRA, renowned as the world’s largest independent non-listed expert organization in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification sector, and Telit Cinterion, a premier global end-to-end IoT solutions enabler, proudly announce the successful completion of compliance tests for Telit Cinterion’s ME910G1 and ME310G1 LTE-M, and NB-IoT product families, at DEKRA Testing and Certification S.A.U. laboratories in Malaga, Spain.
“The cybersecurity requirements that will become mandatory in August 2025 under the RED directive represent a significant milestone in certifying connected devices within the EU. These products have met the compliance to RED article 3.3d, by adhering to the prEN 18031-1:2023, and also, they have met the “de-facto” standard for Cyber Security of Consumer Internet of Things i.e. ETSI EN 303 645. While the harmonized standard is still under development, manufacturers are expected to ensure cybersecurity throughout the entire lifecycle of their devices, with mandatory RED approval required from August 2025 onwards. By proactively engaging in this process, Telit Cinterion is ensuring its customers are well-prepared for upcoming RED cybersecurity regulations.
