The EU Taxonomy is a classification system designed to steer investments towards activities crucial for achieving net-zero emissions and environmental sustainability. Companies within the scope of the CSRD are required to disclose in their annual reports the extent to which their activities are covered by the EU Taxonomy (Taxonomy-Eligibility) and meet the criteria outlined in the Taxonomy delegated acts (Taxonomy-Alignment). Companies not covered by the CSRD can choose to voluntarily disclose this information to gain access to sustainably financing or for other business-related purposes.
