What Does This Scheme Cover?

The Mobile Device Security Certification GSMA Scheme aims to provide an industry-wide security assurance framework that increases the transparency of security capabilities of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to facilitate improvements in security levels across the whole mobile device ecosystem.
Mobile Device Manufacturers can evaluate Mobile Device conformance to the requirements defined in the ETSI TS 103 732 series.
Benefits of MDSCert Scheme
The scheme covers the following security levels:
Security Assurance Level 1 (Verified Self-Assessment)
Manufacturers complete a self-assessment questionnaire and submit supporting evidence (e.g., test script results). Upon review for completeness, certification is awarded and published.
Security Assurance Level 2 (Functional Test + Documentation Review)
Security Assurance Level 3 (Level 2 + Penetration Test)

Scheme Entities

    Is the author of the Scheme. Through the Device Security Group, sets the overall security requirements included in the Scheme and maintains the Scheme documents to be used by any prospective Scheme Owner.
